Peer Navigators provide one-on-one support by helping peers successfully create their own personal recovery goals and a plan to carry them out. They also provide connection to other recovery resources within the greater community. All coaching sessions are free-of-charge and are offered in English and Spanish.
Wellness Recovery classes
We offer four classes a day that are peer-led and chosen by the peers each month. These classes include both "evidence-based practices" and "emerging practices" to support peers in learning about healthy recovery skills, habits, and behaviors.
A Friendly vibe
There's a reason why we chose the name "Friends 4 Recovery"! The center is a place that promotes opportunities to build friendships. Our peer community values are mutual respect, support, kindness, and hope. We are a group of peers who enjoy each other's company and would love to have you join the fun!
Transportation to the center
Transportation is provided free-of-charge to peers who live in Chesterfield County on a first come, first served basis. For more information, please contact Maria at (804) 308-1366.
Classes and groups include:
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Tai Chi and Qigong
Welness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
Dealing with Loneliness
Trauma Recovery Support
Art & Music Appreciation
Double Trouble 12 Step Support Group
...and many more!
Services in Spanish
We are the only peer-run facility in the state of Virginia that has a Hispanic Peer Coordinator on staff. Mina's position allows her to reach out to the Chesterfield Hispanic Peer Community. For more information in Spanish, please click here.
Peer support meetings
We have Peer Support meetings that are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:00 PM. These meetings are open to anyone who wants to participate. Peers encourage and support one another during these meetings.
